The Love of Christ Children's Home   A residential children's home for newborn orphaned and abandoned babies. The Jarvis family begun the work in 1998. WE are now a registered children's home and work with a complement of 24 volunteers for 71 children. Aim To champion for the rapid, responsible placement of babies into forever families Volunteer opportunity Ages 20 to 35 preferred. We provide training. A good understanding of selfless service is imperitive as it is very hard work. Volunteer Work Primarily basic child care for children ages 0 to 5 years old. Includes simple household chores, night shift and organising of supplies. Food and Accommodation We offer accomodation with 2 people per room. 3 meals a day. Cottages are seperate from the children and have small kitchens for those who prefer to make something for themselves. Project Location In Eikenhof, a semi-agricultural area in the South of Johannesburg South Africa How to get to the Project We collect from OR Tambo International airport or Park Station. We drop you off there too. Transport to malls on days off are possible but more than that you need to arrange your own taxi or car hire.
