the Bliss Women and Children project
BWCP was founded by Esther Githaiga, a Kenyan woman who wanted to address the region's tremendous inequities. It´s based in Kaptembwo town, one of the poorest regions of Nakuru in Kenya.
The Bliss Women and Children Project aim is to provide opportunities for women and children who:- are living in extreme poverty, are abandoned, orphaned, internally displaced, widowed or living with HIV/AIDS.- More than 100 women and 80 children benefit from the programs every day. Butterfly 4 Volunteers
Butterfly organizes volunteer placements and internships in difference places in Kenya.
Duties include:
-Teaching English, or maths in a primary school;
-Teaching is a nursery school.
-Volunteer in a government hospital, or in a children home.
There is a sponsorships program, and a foundation were people can give toys, clothes to children, or donate money for a new classroom or other community development projects.
