Humanist Movement Projects


The Humanist Movement Organization (HMO) is a locally based volunteering organization that undertakes and supports projects in education, Health and quality of life in Ghana with the aim of helping to better the future of impoverished children and at risk youth.

Mission / Aim:
The Mission of Humanist Movement Organization (HMO) is to teach and help to improve the level of English, Maths and Computer education in deprived schools in out-skirts of Accra, Kumasi and especially in the deep villages in Ghana. To teach infant massage to parents / caregivers, in day care centers etc. To help increase family bonding improve the health of child and to reduce hospital bills. To teach physical / mental/ spiritual exercises to children and teenagers especially “at risk youth” with a solid physical, metal and emotional foundation so that the children are better. Prepared through gaining the confidence, knowledge good health and skills needed to develop his or her full potentials to become responsible member of society.

Objectives / Vision

The objectives of (HMO) is (1) To better the future of impoverished children and “at risk youth” in out-skirts of Accra, Kumasi and deep villages in Ghana (ii) To establish programs that aim to strengthen families and prevent the abandonment of children.

(iii) To provide children with basic living needs through trust, respect,integrity, commitment and caring.

(iv) Help children and “at risk youth” recognize and express their abilities, interests, talents and full potentials (v) To liberate the students mind from all bond-ages of narrowness.


PROJECTS
• Education:
Volunteers will teach English, Maths and Computer education in deprived schools. (creche, nursery and junior high school

• Health:
Volunteers will teach infant massage to parents / caregivers and in day care centers Teaching of physical exercises to children teenagers especially “as risk youths”

• Quality of life:
Volunteers will also help Set-up co-operative projects for women and the youth


Projects are located Out-skirts of Accra and Kumasi
