When you arrive in Kenya by air, you will land at Jomo Kenyatta airport in Nairobi. Someone from the Bliss Women and Children Project will meet you at the airport (please, please make sure we know your flight itinerary well in advance!) We will then take a taxi from the airport into Nairobi, where we will either stay one night, or take a matatu (mini bus) directly to Nakuru, where our project is located. If you would like to spend a day or two in Nairobi (to get your feet on the ground or see some of the city’s wonderful sights) please let us know in advance so we can meet you at another time. Once in Nkuru, we will drive you out to Kaptembwao so you can meet our wonderful women and children!! Note that you will pay for the bus ticket and any other expenses made towards meeting you at the airport.
