BE-AID-PRO

(Belo Area Integrated Development Program)

BE AID PRO is a community development project in Belo North West Province of Cameroon. The aim of the center is to assist orphans, poor ,and disabled people with educational and medical support.

Program highlight:

• Identification of the disabled
• Support to the abandoned and orphans
• Behavior change to child labor
• Health support to the disabled
• Craft centers for the disabled
• Agriculture/environmental protection
• Stockbreeding
• Market gardening
• Increase awareness of HIV/AIDS.

Some achievements:

• BE AID PRO has created an art-craft center where blind and disabled people can learn and produce stuff to sell and generate some income. Some of the items produced are: ropes, chairs, traditional cymbals, rattle etc.

• They are running cooperatives where  villagers together with the disabled people learn organic farming technics to produce good foodstuffs.

• Also the center is taking care of more than 20 orphans and abandoned children.

Volunteer Opportunity.

We are looking for both male and female who would like to work in the following areas:
-Agriculture and environment protection

-Health, and HIV/AIDS awareness.
-Education

Food and accommodation:
You will live with a host family; you will have 3 meals a day.

Program fee:
Food and accomodation: 300 USD
Application fee: 20 USD .
